VPN using BT Home Broadband

[link to this post]

We have staff connecting over BT home broadband using VPN. A couple have recently had problems with the connection (i.e it won't!) Someone from BT advised today that BT as started implementing a block of VPN over Home service and you now have to upgrade to Business?? Has anyone heard anything about this and confirm one way or another? Seems unlikely but they say it's because you connect to a business using VPN hence should pay for business service!?!?!?

Specifically the guy said that BT would block all VPN access irrespective of ISP if using BT line but I have discarded this bit as absolute tosh ---- unless of course you know different.

Thats a strange one, I am sure somebody around here would know. I didn't think it would work anyway due to the fact bt home users get dynamic IP addresses.
