how do you get help from bt

my brother ordered btbroadband in september .connection date about 13/9/06.to date he still as not been able to connect to the internet.after more then 20 phone calls to help and surport they kept saying that there was no problem.he stop paying the bill .thinking this would get there attention. they just stopped outgoing calls.he asked for a engineer to call and he would pay for the visit if he was at fault.they didnt want to know.he as asked for broadband to be canceled as they wasnt providing the service .they said they would.but they did'nt he as email complaints three times .they told him to check is wiring in is flat.then they said they could'nt find is account details.what as he got to do to get this sorted..on one of the many calls an engineer said he didnt think that the broadband on the line was being provided by bt he went away to check something .then the line went dead.what should he do now.????

call them up on 0845 600 7030 or e-mail them [email protected] if memory serves right.

thanks for the reploy .but did read my post he rang them at lease 20 times and emailed three times.

Not paying the bill is not the brightest way of solving a problem. I suggest that the next conversation should be with Billing to see what issues they have.

Its actually the worst thing you can do as:

BB repair won't deal with a fault on a line which is outgoing calls barred due to billing and if the line is taken out of service they will cancel the broadband on it and then hold you to term for breach of contract.

I was trying to be polite The OPs brother really needs to speak to somebody and find out what state his account is in, put that right and then deal with connectivity.
