Just switch the power off and back on again.

What speed is it connecting at?

If your connection holds at that rate for 3 days you should be back to an IP profile of 1500 Kbps.

Have you ever run a test in the BT test socket as it is very often possible to get a much higher connection speed when doing so?

This could give you an even higher IP profile.

Following this thread with similar probs, can you or anyone explain why I get different speeds when I run tests on this site and speedtester.bt.com and which one is most reliable. They used to be about the same now about 1MB out.

Hi, have run serveral tests on the test socket for days at a time - it never makes any difference to the speed at all - Ithere is no other telephone wiring in the house other than the master socket so assume this is the reason for no change.

Just thought I'd mention the test socket because my Hub would only connect at about 1000Kbps in the normal socket, but at up to 3800 Kbps in the test socket.

My extension wiring which was installed by BT had the bell wires connected at terminals 3&4 which can upset MaxSDL.

This has transformed my IP profile to 3000 Kbps and I live over 3km from the exchange.
