Thanks Dave, but have tried logging on with the router using ever possible name going, still have the same problem router says its connected, windows tells me the router is connected, but no browser will . Even tried the advanced tests logging on as admin, and still the same everything appears hunky dory until I try to use my browser

I didnt migrate from anywhere, only recently moved in, but the previous owner may not have cancelled their contract, thats the first suggestion i havent tried, and definititley not firewalled my pc, in fact quite the opposite I turned it off completely
But thanks for the advice re migration ...........I feel another phone call to India coming on

Maybe your problem is related to previous owners isp, i.e. if they weren

Hi,
Is your old 56k dial up modem disconnected from your PC? if your PC has a onboard modem try disabling it, as I've seen in the past were a active 56k modem can stop BB from working, even if its not in use.
