I'm quite far out from the exchange, but my line has sat quite happily at 512/768k for the past 2 years.
I've recently had a line fault, which was cleared by the engineer replacing the dropwire, and line into the DP. Since then I've been unable to connect at anything more than 160k (about 10 days).
Line stats don't appear to have changed that much, still 63dB down attenuation although SNR down is up at 13dB.
Is there anyway I can get it to attempt at 512k? I would have called through to BT Broadband by now, but quite frankly I haven't the patience to speak to their useless offshore call centres fishing for a fix. Which speaks volumes considering I'm an employee!
Basically, is there a shortcut I can ask them to put the line back in training mode and connect at the highest speed possible?
I don't assume I can sort this without speaking to them, but if I know what I'm asking for it might be a little less painful
Thanks
