Hi
What are you paying / what option are you on at this time ?
1 of my family has just renewed in the Chester area ( market 3 ie 4 or more ISPs to choose from ) option 1 £7.33p for 12 months. no home hub or Vision box.
I also know guy who got option 3 for £12.99p for 12 months with a new home hub but no Vision box.
When you ring up ask for ' The retension team ' who will make you a number of offers to choose, write the offers down & get a ref number / name. BT will not put the offers in writing as the offer of the day is not for the public to see on the web !!!
Good luck Copperking

Is this offer for just for option 3 broadband only or did they inclued a new home hub ? What is you telephone exchange ( can then work out if you are in market 1 / 2
/ 3 area )
If you are in market 3 area & do not want a home hub go back, look for £12.99p
or better . If they think you will go to a another ISP , will make you a better offer.

Better offer than I got, price was £17.99 it has now gone up to £19.56 + a new hub and BT vision (which we dont really need as we cannot get freeview at the moment....but the films might be useful).

Then I see offers of £15.49 and £12 being floated around....hmm think I need to get back on the phone.

The offer you get will vary according to how you pay, how much you spend on calls and other variables, e.g. if your area has a lot of bad payers you may not get as good as deal, as you may be seen as a risk, i.e. profiling just like insurance companies

Well it's always been direct debit, the calls is taken care of by the £5.95 a month for unlimited calls . It just seems strange, that in one year, they can offer a decent price, then bump it up.
Another thing, the rep I was speaking to said we were paying too much by direct debit, so she was going to lower it....well she lowered it and we would be only paying for half of the quarterly cost, what she trying to do, get us into trouble !!!!

I was offered £14.99 and a new homehub. I said no offer would make me stay. You can get just as good a deal with sky with broadband that works at peak times.
