So. What is the trading status of Vivaciti and what is the address of the firm?

Must jump in here.

The OP made a reference to a specific ISP and the ISP responded with a link in response to the point. Nothing more nothing less. Any registered member can post in any forum when appropriate, and this response was such IMO.

Your continual disregard for resellers is well known as many threads will attest. Please refrain from this continual axe grinding, as that is what it appears to me, it is constantly throwing threads off track.

I've noticed that an address for vivaciti has been posted here and in the Which Isp ( residential ) forum.

Also, it has been suggested that vivaciti is a trading name of a company registered in London and also with an address in Essex.

Surely it would benefit correspondents if this was clarified as the International IT Solutions registered in London may or may not be related to the International It Solutions that was wound up in Essex a few years ago,

I am sure that Vivaciti would like to make clear whether they are associated with either company and would not wish to be possibly seen as passing off as an unrelated company if the posted information is inaccurate.

After all, the trading status and address of a company is a matter of public record and not something anyone would wish to be idly speculated on in an internet bbs.

I'm sure vivaciti would be delighted to clear up any confusion. Sadly, they appear to have been uncharacteristicly absent from the forum over the last few days.

So why do you constantly do so?

Now I insist you put your axe down. Our members can draw their own conclusions on this thread and can peruse this matter if they wish to consider using this ISP.

They do not need your constant repetition of the same point over and over.. it brings your motives into question....this BBS allows all opinions but should not be used as a free soapbox...if you feel that strongly, set up your own site.

I guess you one of those customers who use BT simply because of their long history, a big corp that has been around decades. You feel safe with them right?

both vivaciti and titan have been around a while and have many customers, their staff are fairly active here. The reseller I would be careful of is ukfsn who appear to have got too quiet recently.

Also consider there is only monthly commitments so no tie in.

Well that and the fact that on fast path mode I get ping times of 7-8ms to the first hop and I don't know anyone in the same area on another ISP, including people on enta resellers, who get less than 15ms most of them circa 20-25ms. As the connection is used a lot for gaming this is a serious consideration.

BT use Central Pluses not Centrals. I don't know the technical details but it is something to do with a more direct link to the Colossus backbone, so lower latency.

I think Plusnet have one (or a few) as well, but mainly Centrals.

I don't think any other ISP has them.

What will happen under WBC I don't know, as presumably Central Pluses will be obsolete like Centrals. So the advantage may disappear. Maybe they work though?

I am really shocked that someone has to post on an external forum seperate from BT to get a basic problem sorted. It is really shocking. My condolences about your slow speeds, but it is BT after all. four million customers connected to already an over saturated node is pathetic.

I'm on WBC and latency (at the moment) is infact even low than it was on central plus (I hadn't thought about the difference in centrals but I guess that explains the latency difference) - I'm just hoping the latency doesn't go up loads when more people are moved to WBC connects.
