bt Email account after leaving

[link to this post]

guys,
I'm leaving bt next week (sadly.I've had no problems with them, but they are uncompetitive these days)..

Will my Email account be disabled immediately after i am transferred to my new ISP, or will i still be able to access it for a while after?
cheers smile

It should work for at least 3 months after you move, you have the option of paying a small amount per month to keep it going after that (forget the name). I moved from BT in October and my accounts still work (but not using them anyway as I have my own domain email).

Left almost 3 years ago now, and email address is still active...

To be safe all you've got to do is :- find a 56k dial up modem, "Dial in" using the primary email account once every 3 months for a couple of minutes.

Thankfully I've got a couple of old systems using both Linux and XP so don't have to worry about finding drivers for my old usb 56k modem smile
