Email to btinternet.com addresses blacklisted

[link to this post]

Hello everyone! Long time, no post.

I'm wondering whether anyone on here might be able to help me. My users (with no connection to any of BT's services, and not even in the UK) are reporting that email they send to btinternet.com addresses aren't being received.

Our server SMTP logs confirm that messages from our domain to BT (well, BT / Yahoo!) are being successfully delivered, but it appears that BT's servers are accepting delivery and then silently deleting them. There can't be a legitimate reason for this - needless to say, we don't produce spam, and our IP address and domain name isn't blacklisted on any of the public blacklisting services.

Has anyone else been seeing this behaviour with BT recently? Assuming we've been blacklisted for some reason, does anyone have a contact at BT that might be able to sort this out?

Cheers!

Tell them to look in their spam folder (accessible from the web mail interface). They will almost certainly be there.

Perhaps then you should be asking what your mails contain which causes the BTYahoo spam filter to consider them as spam. OK, it does still make wrong decisions, but if it is happening to a lot of mails then there is probably a reason.

Thanks for your message, dsergeant - it turns out that you're absolutely right.

Unfortunately what was described to me as a serious problem turned out to be a histrionic idiot wasting my time - sorry to waste everyone's time on this forum as a consequence.
