Why bother
If it is as big as it seems nationwide BT will know anyway from their internal systems.
If I get a power cut the very last thing I do is waste my time etc reporting it - after all umpteen others will have.

Have reported on the BT Care site - managed to get on using Google DNS.. Looks to be bigger than BT - if you can get to it http://www.internettrafficreport.com/europe.htm showing a few probs.. Torshavn routes a lot of US traffic and Cloudflare are reporting issues at the Frankfurt IX.... Only suggestion I have is enjoy the Tennis/Football today as I've a feeling this may be a while!
Oh no! I cannot abide football and tennis....

Think logically chaps...

What's different to thinkbroadband site (which appears to work) any others which do not load. I can't fathom this.

Glad the problem seems to now have gone viral.

Chaps at BT will have to finish their tea-break before we see any action.

natwest site, bbc, so it is uk as well.

It seems to be totally random...
I can get onto bbc.co.uk (and bbc.com forwards straight to bbc.co.uk - so bbc.com is accessible for me).
NatWest.co.uk is also working for me.

cbc.ca (Canadian Broadcasting) is working, but is tediously slow, so it doesn't look like the transatlantic links are completely down.
Having said that; of all the sites I know (100%) which are hosted in the US are down.

So long as those other people don't think that too!

Surely BT would put a notice on their home page if they were aware, or is that asking for too much common sense?

It's just BT apparently.

Liverpool BT some sites not loading, can't log in to LoL, Battle.net, Line Messenger.
Brighton area, friend with same problem.

My brother in Chester is on Talk Talk and has no issues.

I was working on managing a server in the USA. Suddenly I lost web, email and remote access. Initially I could run Traceroute to the BT data centre, now there is no DNS.
I couldn't access Google or Twitter, but can on Chrome now, and with IE after removing Yahoo Toolbar.
I did manage to log into my BT account although it was very slow. Apparently according to the 'My BT' page I have no phone or Broadband (I have both, although there was a mix-up when I switched to Infinity).
I live in the GU16 area and, although the loss of the US server I manage could be at the USA end, BT is not acting as it should.
I can't access the BT Support pages. They can't be found! So I can't check if any problems are reported.
