Yup, and once the first 12 months is up you will be charged £4 per month, or whatever it costs in 12 months time.

Oliver.

I think BT bury their out of contract pricing better than anyone else. No "price from month 13" next to the £0/month, and not even an asterisk.

The small print, I've paragraphed the new bit

BT Sport UK residential broadband customers only. BT broadband customers can watch BT Sport online at home with a minimum line speed of 400kbps. To watch BT Sport online elsewhere you need 3G/4G/wifi (charges may apply). To watch BT Sport at btsport.com you need Microsoft Silverlight. The BT Sport App works on iPhone (3GS and above), iPad (iOS 5.1.1 and above) & selected Android devices with OS 4.1. Max. 2 devices simultaneously.
BT Sport is also available on BT TV for new and existing broadband customers who sign up for 12 months or have 12 months remaining on their contract; ongoing renewal needed to get discounted BT Sport. Sport on BT TV requires compatible box from BT fee £49-£299 may apply.
BT TV customers without BT Infinity will need to order & pay for a viewing card by phone from 1 Aug; allow ten days for delivery. e-billing required.BT Sport is free for new and existing customers. BT Broadband for new customers from £10 a month (plus line rental £15.45 a month). Terms apply.
HD TV pack £3 a month. Requires HD ready TV & cabling. To watch HD on Sky Digital Satellite Platform, customers need a black satellite receiver box. Terms apply.

Now that's confusing..... I'll stick to BT Sport on my Tablet/PC.

Cheapest simplest way if you are a BT Infinity customer is to order BT TV and get all the BT Sport channels bundled in for nothing extra. As an existing BT TV customer I seem to have come out of this well but I have always thought Sky customers were previously offered a favourable deal so it is amusing to watch them squeal now at having to pay what seems like a very reasonable supplement to their big bucks Sky subscription.

I did some digging on this over the weekend. I don't have BT TV but I have DSL broadband and phone line. I occasionally watch BT Sport on the Sky platform.

My options (as discussed with their online help chat) :-

Option 1 - Do nothing and pay £5 per month. Re-contracted for 12 months
Option 2 - Downgrade to BT sport lite - unbelievably re-contracted for 12 months
Option 3 - Remove BT sport. Unfortunately, this is impossible in the online account area.

I would actually question whether it is legal to give 2 options and both require a new 12 month contract?

Following the downgrade link also told me that I didn't have a BT line !!!!

My contract currently runs out mid August and given these BT sport changes apply from the 1st, then I guarantee something will get screwed up and I will be charged for something I don't want.
