They made kit for two different types of technology, I think that's good...
What's the point in an FTTP user having a router with a modem built in running alongside another modem, removing that internal modem will surely save a wee bit of power and maybe increase performance too.
At the end of the day the recommended setup is to connect the new hub directly to master socket and get connected, the HH5 was the same but had the option of using the red WAN port.
