Sorry it was just my humour, was a bit miffed at the time, 2 times in a week of no issues and all around the time I renewed my sub with BT.

Well Down detector showed it mostly down for pepople in London, some in Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford, and a few other places.
It also showed that providers TT, BT, Sky, EE, Vodafone, PN, and a load of online services were also down or having issues for people at the same time.
VM had absolutely no issues at the time which points me to BT's infrastructure having the issue. Maybe engineers were working on some main fibres at the time, it was only 10 of so mins that it was down.

Yeah and they are also saying free full fibre too which cracks me up there.

But sure FTTP should suffer no issues with surrounding noise etc, but a break in fibres will, the only slowdown I have had was when I first got FTTP, but a quick phone call to BT and that was rectified over the phone after my router reconnected.

While down detector can be useful, it is very open to a few people making an event look a lot bigger eg. it makes no distinction between a webpage being down and the service of that provider.

This is true, but when you see "Anyone else lost their broadband" seems to point to the connection being down, But I normally just use them to see if anyone else is also having issues at the exact same time.

LINX traffic stats are a good is everyone down or a major regional event, since while not all traffic goes via LINX major events affecting large numbers will be visible generally.

My IDNet BQM for last night/this morning shows no gap.

It seems so many speech affectations have become commonplace nowadays.
Another one is starting every sentence with "so" "Ha ha".
This American silliness gets in everywhere.

Heh. You'd hope that that wouldn't be a problem for anyone the size of BT, Virgin Media, etc. They should have full routing tables arriving at their kit.
