As it sounds like you have a problem... 6000-6500 down sync?

Why the cloak and dagger stuff ?

It's impossible to answer without knowing if the downstream snr has been artificially raised or if it's 14 db naturally.

John.

nothing on the line has been changed its a stock reboot. the SNR is natural.

The issue im having is for the past 7 Years my syncs been 8128 sync 7150 bras profile.

this is what i get atm

Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 448 Kbps, Downstream rate = 5664 Kbps

If i move the router on to an extension lead my sync rate goes to 7669 down 328 up

Im a little confused as to why my sync rates faster if i lenthen the line.

When are you going to explain the actual problem?

I can remember reading here on TBB a long while back someone having problems because their attenuation was so low! Can't remember the outcome though I'm afarid.

I probably stopped looking as it's a problem I'll never get! frown

Have you used different routers and/or firmware to see if things change?

Yeah i dunno trying to actually talk to someone at my ISP is a nightmare. I'm thinking of moving to Vfast and dodging the ADSL matter all together.

10Mb down 10Mb up is a draw as well

Batboy may be right about the line being too short, through its very rare for this to cause a problem. One sure way to find out is to use two filters, the second pluged into the phone socket of the first. This would make for a lot of attenuation, and you should not be able to sync at all, but if you can then this indicates a very strong signal and carefull choice of router may solve the problem.
