I've got the Netgear DG834G v2 but it's not mainly the holding sync i wanna change routers for, its the fact that speedtouch routers usually sync higher than netgear ones and you get the benefit of DMT aswell.

So the magic question is Belkin 7633 or Thompson Speedtouch 585 v6, i think i am gonna go for the Thompson one?.

Having seen so many problems with the FD range in particular over the last year or so, my advice is to leave the Belkin well alone.
In case any should come up for future consideration, it's worth noting that in general, 3-Coms PSUs are of very poor quality indeed.

I've got the same problem as Tommy and wish to buy the best router for a weak line...no matter how much it costs! I've tried Netgear DG834 v3 and and that DID give me a stable connection but it brought my sync speed down from 2.5mb (Linksys AM200) to 1mb!!! So anyway what do you think of the following for weak ADSLMax lines:

Westell Proline 6100
Zyxel P-661H-D1
