Netgear DG834G v5

[link to this post]

Hi Folks,

Can anyone with a DG834G v5 confirm whether or not it has NAT loopback. Early versions weren't able to loopback on their own address - which is a pain when you run a server - but they fixed it sometime during the life of the v3 (I think).

People tell me that this is working but without loopback it's hard for me to tell!

Thanks,

John.

The sky shots supply a picture. The Bird&Squirrels ones don't. Debian Linux/IceWeasel.

I had similar problem running FTP server but solved it. No I don't think you can loop back using your external IP. Instead enter your internal static IP followed by colon and port number.

I think that is what you were asking for.
