netgear DG834GT

Does any one know how to turn the wireless settings off completely ie no transmissions whatsoever.

On the DG834Gv3 you go into wireless settings and untick the Enable Wireless Access Point box. May be similar for your model.

Wireless -> Wireless Settings -> Enable Wireless Access Point then untick it.

But that is on the v103.22 - DGTeam Rev. 1018 firmware. What firmware is your's running?

It is the same on the DG834v4 which has the same chipset as the GT

Am running the very latest Netgear FW .23, I have done that, does it now mean it will not be transmitting any wireless signal?

I know its OCD but putting it where my kids will be playing as a hardwired switch so want no signal whatsoever.

If you are still worried, put a TFH over the aerial of the router,

Or more seriously, if you have a laptop or smartphone with wi-fi then use that to see what wi-fi networks it can find. If yours is not listed then that proves the point.

It is worse than that as there is no concern whatsoever. Of course, you have every electrical device in your home enclosed in a Faraday cage?
