We have started seeing Openreach announce new exchanges being enabled. The first announcement was 15th April with 12 exchanges announced.
A further 17 have been announced today ( 23rd April)
ATHERTON, BINLEY, BLACKPOOL, BOSTON, CAERNARVON, CASTLE BROMWICH, EDINBURGH ABBEYHILL, EDINBURGH NEWINGTON, GLASGOW BARRHEAD, LARBERT, PARKSTONE. RADFORD, RIBBLETON
Shanklin, ST. MARYCHURCH, STOKE TRINITY, VENTNOR
This make 1469 exchanges with some live cabs.
Interestingly only 8 of these were on the coming soon list, 3 of which were shown as Sep 13 dates !
There are 80 left on the coming soon list for March(3) and June (77) 2013.
(Edit to change the count of exchanges rather than rows in the sheet!)

Brixham, Devon is currently accepting orders for some cabinets. Forecast was June 2013, then Sept 2013. The OpenReach Superfast site still shows as coming soon.
Barnstaple is an oddity in that it isn't in the accepting orders list Or the Coming soon list anymore, but is on the Future exchanges list for 2013 calendar year.
Could be a typo, are you sure some cabs are already accepting orders? does anyone have an actual date yet?
An additional 17 were announced on 29th April.
ASTON COMMON, BARNSTAPLE, BRADFORD-ON-AVON, Broomfield, EASTVILLE, EDINBURGH LEITH, EDINBURGH WESTER HAILES, EXHALL
GLASGOW POLLOK, HEBDEN BRIDGE, HENFIELD, HERNE BAY, MENAI BRIDGE, RECTORY, RHYL, SANDOWN, TROON.
This makes 1486 exchanges with live cabs.
The Coming soon list appears to heve less and less relevance to what is actually delivered as 8 of these were not on the list and only showed in the Future exchange list.
Menai Bridge appears to be another BDUK site enabled so these are starting to trickle through.

An additional 21 arrived in the Excel sheet around 7th May.
ALVASTON, BOLSOVER, BRIXHAM, CARDINHAM, CHEYLESMORE, CHIPPING NORTON, CUCKOO OAK, CULVERHOUSE, EDINBURGH PORTOBELLO, EUSTON, GORSEINON, HUCKNALL, LEDBURY, LYTHAM, PRAZE, Ripon, Shipston On Stour, SILEBY, SOUTHBANK, TITCHFIELD, ZELAH
And a further 10 on the 14th May.
BLACKBURN, BURNHAM-ON-SEA, GRANGEMOUTH, HOLT, NEATH, NORTH BENFLEET, PORTSCATHO, STEPNEY, TINTAGEL, WEEK ST MARY
Bringing the total to 1517 exchanges with live cabs. An increase of 59 since The end of March.
Holt may be the first of the Norfolk BDUK sites to be live and Ledbury may be a BDUK site in Hereford and Worcester.

Fun and games. My exchange went "enabled" also, but I know for a fact they haven't even started laying fibre to any cabinets yet (although the cabinets themselves were installed 8-12 months ago).
The exchange was originally supposed to go active three years ago, so not exactly on schedule (constant shifting 3 months on the date!).

I get the spreadsheet of 'available now' exchanges from the openreach site . I keep historical copies of this every so often so can compare the latest with an older copy, thus can spot the ones that go live between the two copies.
Many of them are on the twitter feed, but not all. They tend to be announced on a tuesday, but not always!
You can also get a file with 'coming soon' and 'future exchanges' however the dates are no longer accurate, (usually much later in the file than reality now) since somebody, (an unpopular poster on here), complained to the ASA that BT was not hitting advertised dates and BT got told to only publish dates they would hit! Consequence was, dates are now no guide to when the exchange goes live only an end date before which it will be live.
I keep a copy of this every 3 months so can track performance.
It is already on the Available exchanges. It was announced on the 15th April in the first batch this year ( 13/14).
It has been removed from the Future exchanges list that it showed on at the beginning of May.
Only one extra Accepting orders for 21st May, FORFAR and a further 4 on 28th May so the rate has slowed somewhat. So hopefully they have been infilling existing exchanges.
ALDRIDGE, CHALFONT DR, EDINBURGH MORNINGSIDE, HORWICH.
Now 1522 exchanges with live cabs, an increase of 64 since the end of March.
I had expected the rate to pick up rather than slow down now the weather had improved and the BDUK exchanges should be starting to come online. There appear to be about 4000 exchanges left to have cabinets enabled on. If we assume that we have 133 working weeks left to the end of 2015 that makes 30 (!) per week to enable ALL exchanges. That seems unattainable to me at this point even 20 per week would be a huge improvement.

Errrr... 4000 divided by 133 is 30, not 300.
Most of those "little" exchanges, especially in BDUK, aren't going to directly have exchange equipment - they'll be children to a nearby parent with the head-end.
Activating those exchanges is going to amount to converting at least one cabinet, plus the obviously longer backhaul.
Being small exchanges, there won't be many cabinets to convert on each.
The opposite way of looking at the activation count is the premise or cabinet counts, rather than the exchange count. At the moment, BT are "passing" 1.5 million premises per quarter, or about 100k per week (or around 250 cabinets per week).
There is still about 9 million premises to go, which would be 70k premises per week in your 133 week schedule. Not implausible - except lots of projects are setting later deadlines and even higher targets (so perhaps there is really 10-11 million to go).

Another 6 exchanges announced as accepting orders today (4th June)
AYLESTONE, Cloughton, CROSS HILLS, MORWENSTOW, SENNEN, STUDLEY.
Now 1528 exchanges with live cabs an increase of 70 since the end of March
Comparing with the 28th March Coming soon list, Cross Hills was 31/03/2013, Morwenston and Sennen 30/06/2013, Cloughton 30/09/2013. The other two weren't even on the list then and aren't on any list I have kept since either! They may be BDUK sites but are on the big side for that.
There are still 58 on the 28th March coming soon list that had June dates that have not been completed yet. However 21 that were shown as Sep 2013 have already been completed, and there have been a number (as above) that have cabinets working that were not on the list at all.

Superfast North Yorkshire's twitter feed announced (today) that the Clifton exchange in York was now ready to order.
It is still "CS 9/2013" on the where-and-when pages.

WWWombat
Clifton appeared in the Spreadsheet yesterday, (10th June) also on the twitter feed. So it looks like N.Yorks feed is a live daily one unlike most BDUK sites that aren't updated for weeks.
I think the Openreach lists get updated once a week so they may announce to CPs ( BDUK ) between the weekly 'public' update.
Another 11 Exchanges announced yesterday (10th June)
BISHOPSGATE. Clifton, DROYLSDEN, Dunnington, LEMINGTON, LIVINGSTON, OTLEY, PORTHMADOG, STONEHAVEN, THORNBURY, WHITLEY BAY.
Porthmadog and Dunnington appear to be BDUK sites so the trickle of these continues.
Now 1539 exchnages with live cabs an increase of 81 since March.
The BDUK Wales Superfast site appears not to be kept upto date very well as only Bangor shows as live on the map despite 3 others being live as well.
Only one exchange this week (18th June)
Hemingbrough, which looks like a Yorkshire BDUK site somewhere near Selby. ( Samknows shows 1543 residential).
Now 1540 exchanges with live cabs, an increase of 82 since March.
Another 14 exchanges enabled this week
ASHBOURNE, CONSTANTINE, GLASGOW SHETTLESTON, HAYLING ISLAND, KIRKCALDY, Mexborough, NORTHBOURNE, Osmotherley, POLRUAN, ROWNHAMS, SHIRLEY; HAMPSHIRE, Sleights, Topcliffe, WHITBY.
Now 1554 exchanges with live cabs an increase of 96 since March 2013.
Looking at the list Cornwall seems to be the place in the UK to go on holiday if you want good Bb coverage! ( Prefer a secluded beach myself )

Another 26 exchanges enabled this week, 01/07/2013, I will include these as March-June completions.
ALCESTER, AYR, BATLEY, BRIMSCOMBE, BRISTOL REDCLIFFE, CALTHORPE, CASTLEHAM, CHERITON, DALTON-IN-FURNESS, GLENFIELD, INVERNESS, LEE-ON- SOLENT, LITTLEWICK GREEN, LUDLOW, NORTH COWTON, PELSALL, PETERHEAD, PORT ISAAC, PORT TALBOT, SAFFRON WALDEN, SELSEY, ST KEVERNE, TENTERDEN, THWING, WOMBOURNE, WOODGATE.
Now 1580 exchanges with live cabs on an increase of 122 since March 2013.
Inverness and Peterhead finally make it for those who have been complaining of being left out.
I will look later to see how many that were forecast in March for June completion have actually been achieved, how many have slipped and how many have been pulled forward..

Put your phone number in here, without any spaces.
If it's not recognised then try the address checker, you can enter just your postcode and then select your address on the next page.
Whichever one you use it should show which cabinet you are on, if it does not give a cabinet number you are quite possibly not on a cabinet but exchange only.
If there is no mention of FTTC or FTTP then email [email protected] giving your address and phone number, and then wait 10 days or so for a reply.

I am pretty sure I am not connected directly to the exchange as there is a new cabinet a couple of streets away and the telephone pole is in my back garden ?

There wer no published changes by Openreach for 2 weeks ( suspect someone was on holiday!).
There were another 11 exchanges enabled on the list of 23/07/2013.
ARROWEBROOK, BAMBER BRIDGE, CANFORD CLIFFS, DARLINGTON, DRAYCOTT, EDINBURGH MAYBURY, FRASERBURGH, GATEFORTH, STRENSALL, WEST AYTON, WIDEGATES.
This makes 1591 on the Openreach list 133 since the end of March.
However there were 5 changes on the Superfast Wales site that have not been reflected on the Openreach site yet.
Dolgellau, Ebbw Vale, Llanwnda,Tredegar, Waenfawr.
Some of these are seriously rural!
Making 1596 in total and 16 since the end of June.
There may be others around the country that are also on different BDUK sites that have been 'missed' in the last two weeks.
Another 9 exchanges enabled this week
ALLESLEY, BONESS, EBBW VALE, HUNMANBY, ILMINSTER, MELMERBY
SHERIFF HUTTON, STECHFORD, TREDEGAR
This brings the total listed with some cabinets enabled to 1598.
Some seriously small rural exchanges here, I thought my geography knowledge was fairly good but had to look some places up on Samknows.
Sheriff Hutton and Melmerby are only around 500 lines on each.
Another 27 exchanges added betwwen the end July and 19th Aug
ABERTILLERY, BEAMISH, BETHESDA, CASTLE BYTHAM, COODEN, CROFT, CROFTON, CWM, DARLINGTON, DAUBHILL, EAST HARLSEY, EAST LAYTON, GARSTANG, GREAT WAKERING, HOLLAND ON SEA, KIMBERLEY, MARKET DRAYTON, MARLBOROUGH, RAWMARSH PARKGATE, ROCK FERRY, RUMFORD, SHERBORNE, SKEGNESS, SPOFFORTH, ST. HELENS, STILLINGTON; NORTH YORKSHIRE,
WIDEGATES.
And a further 6 on 27th Aug.
GREAT SMEATON, SHILDON, SLAITHWAITE, SPRINGFIELD; WEST MIDLANDS, TAVISTOCK, WICKHAM.
This brings the total listed with some cabinets enabled to 1631 exchanges.
Again some medium and small rural sites here using BDUK funds so we are starting to see results from the funding.
Another 6 exchanges were enabled on 2nd Sep
Bradford-On-Tone, CORSHAM, GLENBOIG, GOREBRIDGE, Sticklepath,
WAREHAM
And 14 more on 10th Sep
BEAUMONT, BETCHWORTH, DAWLISH, INGATESTONE, KENTON, LEVEN; FIFE, MAINDEE, Ross-On-Wye, SOUTHWARK, STURRY, TICKHILL
TORQUAY, TOTNES, WALSGRAVE- ON-SOWE
Making the total exchanges with some cabinets enabled 1651.
Again there are some small rural exchanges so more signs that BDUK funds are reaching the rural areas.

Just to give you a heads up, Westgate (NDWES) has gone live in the last couple of weeks.
You can use postcode CT95HT in the address checker and pick an address to verify.
Edit: Only three cabs are live 7,8 & 9

Westgate still hasn't appeared in the list on the Openreach site, I wonder how often this happens as there have been a few reported.
It could be that only a few cabs are live from a large number so they haven't publicised it yet to reduce the complaints from the rest of the exchange!
Another 9 exchanges announced this week, 17/09/13.
AVONMOUTH, CRICCIETH, EAST LEAKE, EMPINGHAM, LEOMINSTER, LONGRIDGE, OAKHAM, SLOANE, WHITWELL -ON-THE-HILL..
With Criccieth there are now a significant number of (small) population centres in North West Wales enabled, oddly nothing yet west of Rhyl on the coast so missing the whole of the Colwyn Bay-Llandudno area.
For the Rural areas it is interesting to see that Sloane in Central London has only just been enabled, and some other exchanges in London are still on the coming soon list.
Now 1660 exchanges with cabs enabled so around 30% of the total.
There are 12 cabinets on Westgate exchange, and I think only 10 of these are being done. There are now 4 cabinets live, so that's 40% of planned cabs.
I would have expected it to have been on this weeks list, how did you find out there were 12 cabs, have you still got access to the Dec cabinet spreadsheet?
It will be interesting to see if most of the September 2013 exchanges go live, one nearby to me looks ready as theirs been no further work for while.
The where and when site has been slow in moving BDUK exchanges over to UE, yet their are quite a few that have announced their rollout plans.
Yes I have the December 2011 spreadsheet imported as a database.
I was also told that 10 cabs were being done, but not which ones. There are two cabs (NDWES 1 & NDWES 12) which serve quite small areas so I suspect these won't be done, unless covered under BDUK.
Another 31 Exchanges announced this week. These include the LAST 19 commercial exchanges!!
"Last 19 exchanges in our commercial fibre programme published today. Check your exchange: http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when"
So by deduction 12 are BDUK., again 5 in a small area of Gywnedd. I would expect this area to start showing up on the speedcheck map now.
ADEL, BLANTYRE, CHALFONT ST GILES, CHURSTON, COLLYHURST, COMBE DOWN, DOLGELLAU, GATLEY, GLASGOW CRANHILL, GREAT AYTON, HATFIELD WOODHOUSE
IRVINE, KEYNSHAM, LLANWNDA, LODGE HILL, MARYLEBONE, NORTH LUFFENHAM, PERSHORE, PETERSFIELD, PICKERING, PORT DINORWIC, QUEENSBURY, SHAFTESBURY, SHERBURN, SOMERSHAM, STAMFORD BRIDGE, STARBECK, SUTTON; NORTH YORKSHIRE
UDDINGSTON, UPPINGHAM, WAUNFAWR.
Now 1691 exchanges with Cabs enabled. With the rest all down to BDUK!
Unfortunately an exchange having one or more cabs enabled does not mean that exchange is finished or that all lines have fibre. In my case all of the cabs but mine were enabled for FTTC, some over a year ago. However, we are still waiting for the FTTP deployment to become available for the lines on my cab.

Andrew, the listed exchanges were those that went live this week!.
I took it that the 19 were the last 19 commercials exchanges to go live , but looking at it again, it could be read that they are the last to be announced as going to go live. I cannot find a list of the 19 so cannot check which is correct. By comparing 'coming soon' lists we may be able to find out the names but there are so many BDUK ones appearing i have no easy way of knowing which was which.

Still no Westgate which has been live for a few weeks now.
As its the final final commerical list, what about the exchanges that are not planned in Birmingham and London, as well as the South Yorkshire Digital region, as they would all amount to a % of coverage.
ccxo:- These exchanges would possibly be covered be the BDUK project if they do not already have SFBB from someone else, (Virgin). There are still quite a few exchanges in the coming soon list that may cover the other areas, examples for London are.
BELGRAVIA FTTC Sep-13
GERRARD STREET FTTC Dec-13
HOLBORN FTTC/P Sep-13
KENSINGTON GARDENS FTTC Sep-13
MAYFAIR FTTC Sep-13

There are a few others like this, BLAENAU FFESTINIOG and LLANBERIS show on the Superfast Wales map but are not yet in the list. However when I have just checked to see which list Westgate is in, it has just arrived in the accepting orders list !
So as at 22.28 there are 1721 exchanges, I will do a compare tomorrow and list the additional 30 that have been added late today.
There has been a second update this week, with another 28 exchanges announced late on tuesday. ( the list went up by 30 but two are duplicated).
This includes Westgate!
ABERSOCH, ALNWICK, ARMADALE, BEARWOOD, BELTON, BOSHAM, BRIDGNORTH, BROWNHILLS, BRYNMAWR, CASTLE DONINGTON, CHELSEA, COTTESMORE, DINGWALL, DURSLEY, EDINBURGH LIBERTON, GLASGOW THORNLY PARK, HORTON BANK, HOUGHTON REGIS, MALMESBURY, MANTON, MORCOTT, ROCKINGHAM, RUNCORN EAST, SCOTTER, SOUTH KENSINGTON, THISTLETON, WESTGATE, WHISSENDINE
This brings the total to 1718 exchanges with some Cabinets enabled.

Pateley Bridge (MYPBG) - went live this morning. It is one of the BDUK/North Yorkshire ones.

This weeks update shows a further 20 enabled exchanges.
ALLOWAY,BELGRAVE, BIRTLEY, BLAENAU FFESTINIOG, BROXBURN, CHATBURN, CONISBROUGH, DARLEY, DEEPCUT, EASINGWOLD, HAGLEY, LLANBERIS, OAKENGATES, OKEHAMPTON, OLNEY, PENRHYNDEUDRAETH, RHIWDERIN, RICHMOND; NORTH YORKSHIRE
STOCKTON ON-FOREST, STUBBINGTON.
Total listed is now 1739 exchanges with some cabs enabled. Quite a few more BDUK ones here, they will soon be the majority each week.
This weeks update shows 16 new enabled exchanges, these ALL appear to be BDUK exchanges ( except maybe Chobham)
BOROUGHBRIDGE, BRAMLEY, CATTERICK CAMP, CHOBHAM, ELSTEAD,
GODSTONE, GREAT ECCLESTON, KIRKBY MOORSIDE, NUTFIELD RIDGE, OAKWOOD HILL, OLD CATTERICK, OXTED, PATELEY BRIDGE, RILLINGTON, SETTLE, SNAINTON.
8 of these are in Nth Yorks so hitting some more rural areas.
Total is now 1755 exchanges with some cabs enabled
Only one exchange this week so good news for Canary Wharf that is now has live FTTP,
I suspect that this will only be in certain buildings and would be interested if anyone in the area has taken it up or can order it. Some of the buildings in the area could cover a large number of dwellings.
This could be in response to Hyperoptics fibre rollout in the area, however each building is only likely to get either Hyperoptic or BT fibre so I doubt if anyone will end up with a choice of access infrastructure. It will end up as a number of small monopolies.. Those whose buiulding has BT fibre will have a choice of Retail ISP.
Seven new exchanges announced this week
ATTLEBOROUGH, BIRMINGHAM SOUTH, CLEVEDON, CLYDACH, DUDDINGTON, TURGIS GREEN CHINEHAM, WESTBURY -ON- TRYM
however there are others taht have gone live on various BDUK maps that have not been listed yet. (eg. about 5 in NW Wales, )
Now 1763 exchanges with some cabs live.
No Exchanges were announced last week , this week 04/11/13 we have 13 new exchanges accepting orders
ALLESTREE PARK, AMBLE, Blundeston, CLAYDON, GLASGOW MARYHILL, GLENROTHES NORTH, HARBORNE, MARYPORT, PENYGROES, SHELDON, TYWYN. ULVERSTON. UTTOXETER.
Now a total of 1776 exchanges with some cabinets live.
18 new exchanges announce this week.(12/11/13)
CHAPELTOWN, COPGROVE, EARL SHILTON, FAIRBOURNE, GIRVAN, GREYFRIARS, HARLECH, HEALING, LONGFIELD, LONGTON; STAFFORDSHIRE, LYME REGIS, PINXTON, RYE, SANDSEND, STEWARTON, VERYAN, WATERHAYS DIMSDALE, WOLLATON
There are now 1704 exchanges with some cabs enabled.
There must now be a significant proportion of very rural North Wales enabled as 18 Gwynedd (county) exchanges have been enabled in some of the most rural parts of the UK on this list and 3 more show on the SF Wales site.
15 new exchanges announced this week 19/11/2013

Now 1809 exchanges with some cabs enabled.
This makes 369 exchanges enabled so far since April this year. Wonder how much effect the weather will have on the run rate this winter?

ACLE, BARKSTON ASH, BARNBY, BATTLE, BEITH, BELGRAVIA, BRECHIN, BROADWELL, CLYNNOGFAWR, CUMNOCK, DAVIDSONS MAINS, DUNCHURCH, EAST KILBRIDE, ELGIN, FORTON, FRODSHAM, GLASGOW IBROX, GREEN HAMMERTON, HARWICH, HELMSLEY, HOLYMOORSIDE, HOLYWELL, HONITON, HUTTON RUDBY, KIRKHAM, KNARESBOROUGH, LAISTERDYKE, LAZONBY, LLANBEDROG, NELSON; LANCASHIRE, PENTRAETH, PILL, ROCKCLIFFE, RUNCORN, ST MAWES, STOKE CITY, STONE CROSS, THURNBY, WARRINGTON, WATH UPON DEARNE, WEST MONKTON, WHITECROFT, WISHAW, WYMONDHAM; NORFOLK.
The new article Connecting Cheshire on the front page mentions Westwood which is still showing as under evaluation, however the cab's connected to that are actually being worked on at the moment and having fibre cabs installed. I understand that this could be that it's being supplied from the main Warrington (LVWAR) exchange rather than the Westwood (LVWTW) exchange but don't seem to be able to find any supporting information from this (I heard this second hand). Is this something that's possible to find out from any where as I don't seem to be able to find it!

Just 8 new exchanges announced this week.
Buckden, BURGH CASTLE, DUNBAR, HOLSWORTHY, NEWCASTLE EAST, ROTHBURY, TRANENT, WHITEHAVEN.
Most look to be BDUK enabled, Andrew has already done a News item on the Rothbury Cab.
Now 1862 exchanges with some cabs enabled.

The BDUK sites, especially for small exchanges with few cabs, often go from Under evaluation to coming soon to live quickly. This is very apparent early in the contracts as they seem to be waiting to start work as soon as the planning is done, once they get into their stride the planning is done some months ahead so timescales elongate.
The first ones in North Wales went live only weeks after the contract was announced and this has been seen elsewhere as well.
Check your telephone number on the Wholesale checker to see if you have an indication as to your cab and possible speed.
You can then find the cab and see when it is provided, then check regularly for when it goes live, you can beat everybody else to order if you are lucky.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I've been checking regularly, but nothing shows up on the number, but the postcode checker shows Fibre Multicast being available as from 31-Dec-13 which I know is just a placeholder so nothing of use, although maybe a hint that things are afoot
The rumour was though that the fibre would be provisioned from an exchange which was a couple of miles away serving a larger area, however maybe not. I'll keep checking and see what happens

I suspect the headend/handover point is in Stockton Heath
Stockton Heath? This is a map of the local area with some cabs Warrington Cabs, the dividing line between one exchange and the other is roughly the line that Burtonwood Road follows. I've been told that the fibre was being pushed over the boundary to the cabs on this housing development, but as yet I have no solid information, hence trying to find some

AFAIK, there is no handover point in Warrington exchange , itself being fed off Stockton Heath. Of course the fibre could still pass through Warrington on the way to westwood, or it may go direct.

There are around 5600 exchanges in total so there are approx. 3500 left to do, however these are mainly very small.
There are some that have been announced on BDUK sites but are not yet on the Openreach lists above these may appear next week. Still a long way to go (including all the EO customers) to get anywhere near full geographic coverage.

I take them off the accepting orders spreadsheet on the openreach site.
After some fuss last year over how slowly BT were enabling exchanges and the financial / calenday year rate. I check each week or fortnight and compare with the previous week. Thus I can tell the newest exchanges to be enabled. The list is normally updated Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. The spreadsheet is more accurate than the twitter feed which sometimes doen't get done.
This thread has all the movements for this year in wnen you take my next post which will be the last for this year. ( up to the 2nd April) I may do a new one for 2014/15 year.

For the last week bringing us to 02/04/14 there were a massive 50 additional new exchanges announced.
ALBRIGHTON, ANSTRUTHER, BELLSHILL, CAMBRIDGE TRUNKS / TRUMPINGTON, COCKENZIE, CRACOE, DAVIOT, EDINBURGH SOUTH QUEENSFERRY, ELLON, FRAMLINGHAM, FRECKLETON, GLASGOW SOUTH, HADDENHAM; CAMBRIDGESHIRE, HALFWAY HOUSE, HAREFIELD, HELENSBURGH, HEST BANK, HINDERWELL, HOLBROOK, HOPEMAN, JOHNSTONE, KELTY, KINGTON LANGLEY, LARKHALL, LEEDS, LITTLEPORT, LLANGOED, LYNEMOUTH, MERTHYR TYDFIL, MOELFRE, MOULTON CHAPEL, OFFTON, OGMORE VALLEY, PAKENHAM, PATTISHALL, PINCHBECK BARS, SCARTHO, SEVINGTON, SINDERBY, SOUTH CERNEY, SUTTON; CAMBRIDGESHIRE, VALLEY, WEST WIGSTON, WHELDRAKE, WICKHAM MARKET, WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS, WIRKSWORTH, YAPTON, YNYSOWEN, Yockleton.
This brings the total to 2125 an increase of 685 in the year.
Surprisingly 21 show as FTTC/P nearly all of which appear to be BDUK sites, this may mean that FTTP is beining to appear in some of the rural areas too get to the hard to reach hamlets.
Some of these exchanges are getting in the very small size, Moelfre shows on sam knows as around 700 and Daviot in the Highlands as 420.
The Superfast Wales site ( not one of the best for detail) now show most of Angelsey as enabled exchanges, all of which were BDUK funded. So this is evidence of a rural area being helped. This is also true of the Gwynedd coast area where again the are no commercial exchanges at all. It will be interesting watching the rest of Wales getting some superfast coverage. The Welsh assembly seem to have gone for dense coverage of each county so some counties will not be touched till later which will lead to lots of moans. I wonder if Scotland will happen the same way?

I'm not so sure of that. this shows evidence of some exchanges in rural areas being enabled not rural areas themselves .Unless someone lives within a few km of the exchange, this won't make any difference to them.
With the exception of Llanelli, there isn't a single exchange in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion or Powys enabled.
This is very much a WAG Labour/PC constituency area rollout in time for elections.
Meanwhile, Superfast have one very quiet on future roll out plans - no updates this year.

It is correct to say that the majority of Exchanges on Anglesey are enabled but in reality very few cabinets are live. The SuperFast Wales is not the best for detail, some areas are still being shown as being rolled out in March 14. This date has come and gone with very little activity in these areas. My Exchange, Brynsiencyn was originally due for rollout Dec 13 then March 14 now June 14 and no doubt that will slip to Dec 14. Meanwhile, we are being told that roll out on Anglesey is on track!. In an area with speeds of 1-2 mb,to have one hopes raised and then continually deflated is most frustrating.
Anglesey has some 18 exchanges, and Menai Bridge is larger with 15 cabinets, 12 with RFS and 10 enabled
Amlwch has 9 cabs, 5 in roll-out and 4 enabled
Holyhead has 19 cabs, and 13 with plans, are any live yet?
The problem with any project over a wide area (32,000 homes approx.) and some 90 potential cabinets, that lots can be going on in other areas but not your own.
The pattern so far looks to be the large exchanges (makes sense as they will host the fibre handover) and cabinets on those, and then creeping out to the smaller exchanges.

Holyhead, the largest town on the island pop. approx. 12000, have no live cabs and rollout planned for June 14. I live 3 miles from my exchange (Brynsiencyn) one cab is installed but no new fibre cab. Much civil engineering work on behalf of BT has been carried out in our village with 14 new manholes with varying lengths of trenches with grey ducting with blue thick string attached. Excuse my ignorance, but in view that the exchange is shown to eventually be FTTC/P, is this an indication that the village will be FTTP?. Your observations would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on where the ducting has been laid if fits in with heading between cabinet and exchange then most likely for the cabinets.
The ducting will probably a black with yellow stripe cable pulled through
http://www.coolwebhome.co.uk/fibre-cornwall/images/f...
that is the fibre tubing which has small tubes in it through which the fibre is then blown with a compressor
Once manholes start to have stuff that looks like
http://www.coolwebhome.co.uk/fibre-cornwall/images/f...
in them then get more excited
http://www.coolwebhome.co.uk/fibre-cornwall/ has a variety of pictures with a few notes

That happened around my area also. Exchanges gets "enabled" after they put in two cabinets, then work stops for 18 months while they go "enable" other exchanges. By stop I'm not kidding either - a pile of cabinets were installed in early/mid 2012 then just sat unused until very recently, and some are still not connected.
I wonder if it's a case of meeting targets on exchanges activated, either internal ones or a more political reason.

I agree. West Wales is being overlooked for political reasons. The contested votes are in the SE Wales valleys and roll-out is advanced there.
