Stuck in and en endless loop of ordered/cancelled Bt Fibre

[link to this post]

I'm pulling my hair out with a seemingly ridiculous amount of ordered then system cancellations on a new build line. Normal ADSL is active and the DSL Checker shows fibre available and available expected speeds.

Every time we get to the imaginary activation data in the orders, something seems to happen and cancellation occurs and new order placed... and so on and so on...

Any suggestions? Order management just keep apologising and saying there will definitely not be a problem next time etc etc...I feel that unless there is human intervention on the system it will just carry on and on...

Thanks!

FTTC or FTTP or FTTPoD?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, sites and mail hosting - Tsohost & Ionos.
Connection - Three B311 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up. 1+ 8 Pro max 80Mbps down, 24Mbps up.

Ah, is this for your relative's house? There seem to be two complicating problems.

First, the number recovery. Second, the possible hold-up in India.

Did the number one get resolved, or is there an outstanding order for it to be done? If there is an outstanding order then no other order can be placed on the line until that is completed and closed. If it is still showing as open, the upgrade order might fail at precisely the point it does.

Different scenarios occur to me depending on the answer to that.

Yes, I'm always helping someone out!

Its the relative from the second one... and the database did finally get updated about 4 weeks ago - and since then the order pingpong has been ongoing...

That doesn't tell me much. "The database"? Which? Whose? And with what? I'm not even sure what "the second one" means.

a friend got this too much, will never go back to BT.. Virgin may have problems, but it is only the one company, unlike BT that is used by hundreds of different ISPS!
