set a deadline, then contact bt, if that fails then its head office time.
That path works as well.

This must have been the service which was enacted at one of our houses, similar situation, a vulnerable person who could not get on with a Duro etc.
The contract there was the 700mins, IIRC swapped seamlessly with no contract changes.
Was only on that for a month or so as situation changed and we had FTTP installed for with a Vodafone 150/30 contract for workshop and 'digital voice' for the 'resident'.

if BMs MiL was staying there longer - then voda plus 300 minutes a month would work out okish and no need for new phone's etc. As BM said a mobile would work well if his Mil would be ok with it - but she doesn't .

Thanks everyone,

I'll pass info onto the daughters and suggest we wait to see if price rises appear or movement before Easter.

If only MiL could get along with a mobile. We could just then more to VOIP and re-direct incoming calls to the mobile.

You could get a GSM gateway with FXS port and plug into the existing DECT base so it appear so different to your MiL. There are apparently companies offering landline number ports to SIMs, but no idea how good or bad they are.
Perhaps one of the neighbours can provide a network cable to which the HT801V2 could be connected?

If you have line of sight from the daughters you could extend their LAN with a couple of Ubiquiti airMAX NanoStation 5AC Loco to provide connectivity for an ATA.

Is it worth considering one of these?
