How do you know they don't provide his phone service? If they told you that it would be against the data protection act.

If one phones up asking about fibre on a business line they will ask for the phone number - "this phone service isnt provided by us" reply.

If you use the home broadband checker it will tell you if the line attached to the number given is not a BT one.

Tried it with longstanding phone numbers of friends who have non-BT phone services.
