is it possible to obtain the VLAN Tag, so i can set it on the Vigor.
others have posted the setting used hereabouts, but I don't recall a VLAN tag. Come to think of it I'm not sure if the VLAN terminates at the cabinet DSLAM ie only runs on the fibre, or if it continues to the modem.
There is a SIN for the GEA FTTC interface at sinet.bt.com

Yeh, i read that, and from my limited understanding of that document! (lol) it seemed that the customer end, has to provide a VLAN Tag from 2, to 4000 odd...
i could be wrong!
googling around, found some german posts about the Vigor 2750n, that suggested to get them working on there ISP's they had to set a VLAN Tag.
tell you what though, i was monitoring the MAC's on like a mac monitoring page, and i noticed a MAC address pop up against the WAN interface, on VLAN 301 (this wasnt any of my MAC addresses either), but i hadn't configured VLAN 301 anywhere at all.
Tried setting my WAN VLAN Tag to 301, but still didn't work.

I think mine was defaulted as 101, which seemed to work, but I am not with BT retail.

Hmm, ill try 101,
i put wireshark on, and that MAC that was coming in on the WAN on VLAN 301, was named "juniper"

OMG i have done it!
it was 101 vlan tag, plus pppoe needed a dummy password, AND, i had to turn the MAC Cloning off (which was set to the old Netgear router)!

Would you be able to write down some basic instructions if possible? I am looking to change my router as the Thomson is too buggy.
