A great example of how to use a picture to distort the truth ... Look how she has her leg bent and is leaning forward to give the impression the cabinet is massive!

The position is shielded by a wall and trees, so how can it obstruct her view, unless she likes looking down at the pavement surface.

She claims it is outside her gate - no, it it is against a boundary wall on the PUBLIC highway.

She claims it is 3 feet higher that her wall - rubbish, especially as that would make her 7 feet tall!

I agree I noticed the trees also. Valid complaint regarding the noise and not been given advance notice of work, but the blocking of view seems very petty. The FTTC will actually raise the value of her home, not lower it.

From the last sentence in the DM article, "Unfortunately Mrs Russells property was accidentally disconnected from the gas supply."

I hope that Open Reach's contractors didn't mistake the gas pipe for a cable duct and tried feeding their new cable through it. I understand that they 'blow' the fibe through the duct.......... grin

Cheers!
