Anyone got any idea when P024 at the top of Pevensy Road (by the chimney) is going to be done, it suggests it's deployed but there is no new cabinet in its near vicinity

Cheers

I went up the road yesterday to speak with one the engineers as i have no cabinet either but all around me does!...anyway he said theres a total of 94 cabinets to be done in hastings and they will all be done by the end of the year!. So there's no way of knowing when it will be done it just depends where you are on the list. It could be months after everyone else has got it.

I'm in Chowns Hill, off the ridge near the vets and church. I don't even know where our cabinet is but I haven't had much of a look although we've seen an openreach van at the bottom and top of our road so hopefully soonish!

The cabs fan's will make noise but only if their starting to overheat etc, so if its cold you will not hear the fans.

Hi guys

Been following this thread for a week or so. Very informative so thank you. I'm
Close to town around the Linton road area and have spotted a new cabinet but whether it's relevant to me or not I don't know. Nothing showing via the checker yet.

Found myself cabinet spotting on the way to tesco last night, there's plenty around.

Let's just hope for some luck on Monday that some more get switched on! I need my uploads! smile

All the best smile

If you post or pm your postcode we can tell you which cab you are connected to.

Cheers bud - thanks for the offer, I'll just sit it out. Now if there was an opportunity to bribed the engineer to give my cabinet some preference I'd take you up on the offer! Lol

In response to the cooling fan question - The noise is equivalent to a standard fridge compressor at 0.5m distance, and they only run during hot weather.

May I ask why you are interested about possible noise?
I thought the closer the fibre cabinet is to someone, the happier they would be laugh
