Yep have seen open reach on Bexhill road, Fern Road, and Warrior Square both bexhill road and fern road looked like they were feeding fibre optic cable under the pavements

that will be near Castleham exchange, that exchange has no FTTC plans.

As Hastings is listed as receiving both types of connectivity, I wonder how they decide upon whether a customer gets FTTP or FTTC.

It's gone a bit quiet although there was a bit of Openreach activity along the Ridge near PCP 3 opposite Hillside Road no cab appeared. It's all been filled in again.

The only areas I know that are supposed to be getting FTTP is the Warrior Square area, Seaside Road and Grosvenor Crescent.

That cabinet is connected to PCP 9 further down Blackman Avenue which is on the Hastings exchange and covers the northern bit of Hollingtion Old Lane between Blackman Avenue and Old Church Road but not the bit between Blackman Avenue and Coventry Road. This one also covers Coventry road and bizarrely Drury Lane on Ponswood.

These oddities probably go back to when the Castleham exchange was built when they switched lines from the Hastings exchange and probabaly the early days of ADSL when BT would re-route lines to try and improve sync speeds in the St Leonards area.

just to let people know if they dont already if the bt speedcheck says no for infinty then try talk talk site. i tried the bt site and it said no. When i checked talktalk site it said this.

why cant bt give this info its their infrastructure, run by incompetant- 10 years too late corporate dinosaur thats why

my advice dont bother with bt .....ever
