The FTTC twin is either right next to the existing cab or within 50 meters of it, for instance on the otherside of the road.
Its not a exchange upgrade but rather a cabinet upgrade that allows you to get the service, so once the exchange goes live if your cabinet does not have a FTTC twin then you are unable to recieve the service.

Seeing as their are quite a few cabinets missing in bracknell their has either been a major delay or cabinets have been removed, all the information we have is from December 2011.

I would suggest contacting the council and possibly the local MP see if they can put some light on the situation in bracknell.

Yes I am surprised that Bracknell has not been enabled yet it being one of the major counties in the Thames Valley. Wokingham Reading and Slough have all been enabled and Bracknell left behind. As soon as it�s available in my area I will move to it straight away so I can leave this oversubscribed Virgin media and get a decent lag free gaming experience.

Well considering the amount of exchanges that have been enabled for FTTC in the east of Berkshire, its understandable to have the delay in Bracknell, lots of large towns in a small area.

I can confirm that the first of the FTTC cabinets are going up in Bracknell... This was one I spotted on London Road and I have also seen another going up in Holland Pines in Great Hollands...

Notice that bracknell has now changed from future to coming soon on the openreach product search. I was almost expecting another pushback to December 2013.

Yes it been moved 3 times... Hopefully it will stay at Jan-Mar 2013. Where in Bracknell Are you?
