The PDF file now also shows Hastings as available 'now'. Even though, my line still isn't recognised (and my cabinets been done).

I'm guessing there must be some delay between going live and us being able to order it.
?
Which PDF file?

2. we like to make superfast services available as soon as possible so when we declare an exchange is 'accepting orders', all the street cabinets in the exchange area may not have been completed yet. This takes time, so please be patient with us.

3. in many exchange areas not every cabinet can be upgraded.

My cabinet has not been installed yet, though, there was two large Openreach trucks outside about a month ago. The detailed roll-out spreadsheet listed FTTC for my postcode, however, I am hoping the lack of cabinet means they have changed plans to FTTP, otherwise June is not looking like a go.

I've just checked BT to see if it's availble for me to order yet and it seems that my building seems to be the only one in our street that is not connected via the cabinet as I can't order infinity at all and says to register intrest instead but via FTTP instead does anyone know how that works and if I'm going to be able to get fibre in June or anytime soon?

NDHAS HASTINGS TN380AL {NDHAS}{P37} 0 92% 19.02 7b Yes FTTC

NDHAS HASTINGS TN380AL {NDHAS}{P91} 0 8% 22.57 7b No FTTP

thanks

Openreach will run the fibre up your nearby telephone pole, and then to your property using the existing copper line as support. Not sure if that means you will have to wait longer for an install date.

A seaview and FTTP, very nice laugh

I am in a void frown

After entering various local postcodes into the BT Infinity checker, I discovered I'm enclosed by streets that can order Infinity for June. However, I am unable to order, and it appears all properties that should have been connected to a currently missing cabinet are also unable to order Infinity.

Could someone help me out here with a couple of questions i have.
My current phone line comes from a pole outside my house from the previous posts does this mean im likely to have to while longer than if it came from a cab? Im not sure where my cab is , im on one of the unadopted roads behind boscobel road.
Also does this mean the fibre optic will come right to my door rather than stop at the nearest cab and will this mean a better speed when it does arrive?

Sadly, a current phone line connection via a pole does not necessarily mean you will be offered FTTP. Though roll-out plans may have changed since last Decembers spreadsheet, it only lists the following postcodes as getting FTTP - TN37 6SZ, TN38 0AJ, TN38 0BX, TN38 0AL, TN38 0AH, TN38 0AE, TN38 0AQ, TN38 0AG

For a more up to date assessment, type your address into the BT Infinity checker. With FTTP, the fibre would be terminated within your property, and would be a higher speed.

From what I understand FTTP in Hastings won't be rolled out until the end of the year or early 2013 when the FTTC rollout is complete. There's only a couple of areas slated for FTTP, your area which I'm guessing is somewhera around the Grosvenor Crescent/Seaside Road area and part of the Warrior Square area.
