I don't know anyone that has been able to order apart from one of my mates on Little Ridge but he's on the Baldslow exchange. None of 4 cabinets in my general area appears to be powered on yet including one that was the first to be fully commissioned back in January.

Can order from West St Leonards, in the Maze Hill and surrounding areas. It appears Openreach are gradually working their way from West to East.

I'm unable to order, but surrounded by addresses that can.

I just spoke to someone at BT about ordering Infinity & he said the exchange isn't due to go live until the 30th of June & that they'll start activating the cabinets after that.

I can't find anywhere that'll let me order it yet.

P.S. He also said to take no notice of the Openreach info... That although Openreach may have done their work, that doesn't mean much with regards to when which cabinet will be live.

cheers for this "Mr Anon", this is very helpful and insightful, it makes sense smile

I shall now 'concentrate' on retuning for my freeview HD at the end of the month, and deal with infinity afterwards rather than saturating the adsl checker! ta

My cabinet was finished a few months back. They've now dug up the path in front of the new cabinet again along to the nearby lamppost. Sorting out the power to the cabinet maybe?

Hi all, anon here again smile

Just spoke to a very nice man at BT Business who said that they are now taking orders for Infinity 2 in the area I'm interested in at the moment (Wellington Square).

Ordering at the moment involves paying £99 for a check to see whether the line is suitable for the service. This check can take up to 20 days from ordering to completion (!!!???).

If the line isn't suitable the £99 is refunded - Not sure if it's credited if it is suitable....

So - Nearly there smile
