Looking at anon's post I think he was enquiring about BT's business fibre service rather than the residential one.

The works are complete now. The cabinet is now emitting a nice quiet fan noise. I think it was finished on Tuesday. BT Infinity, Talk Talk and Sky still say the service is not available to my number though (This is deffo my cabinet, I've checked!). What's the problem? Is there still more work to be completed inside the cabinet?

Most of the cabinets in the Harley Shute Road area have been powered up for the last 2-3 weeks and the BT Wholesale/BT Infinity checkers have speed estimates but are saying fibre won't be available until 30th June 2012. Whether this date will change at all, I have no idea.

Just checked BT Infinity and got the same message as you Simon194. Tried Talk Talk and Sky (who I'm currently with) and they still don't see me as having a fibre option yet. At least I know my cabinet is working and I'm definitely on it. Just a waiting game now.

I actually get a speed and date of 30th July with Talk Talk but like you I get nothing from Sky (who I'm also with). Personally I don't mind the wait because I'm planning to sign up to Sky's Fibre Pro Unlimited service which isn't going to be available to existing customers until June/July. I probably wouldn't pass the credit check if I changed providers anyway.

Against my better judgement I tried the TalkTalk checker and it says fibre on my cab by August, whereas the BT Wholesale checker says end of June. Who to believe, if any?

I now have 30th June for BT Infinity and 'in June' for Talk Talk (prob 30th too). Still nothing from sky. I am now chasing for an update..........

I have now as well.

I also had a email back from Sky regarding their Fibre Unlimited product and it said that "unfortunately our coverage currently doesn't match the coverage of BT Infinity". Whether that implies it's not going to be available in Hastings or not I have no idea.

You definitely can't order it if you are connected to the Baldslow exchange because a mate of mine has tried.

Checked today. BT Infinity and Sky are now available to order no more delays or future dates!. My installation is booked for 3weeks from now (Sky). Fingers crossed!
