Clear as mud, this.

Sounds to me like there is a good chance that for inexplicable reasons, HarpingOn and I are connected directly to the exchange.

I need to find out either way.

So use the BT ADSL checker with your telephone number!

No FTTC data means no FTTC, date of 30th June and estimated speeds means FTTC available "sometime".

BT Wholesale checker says nothing about FTTC

Talk Talk say July

Spreadsheet says my postcode is connected to a cab, scheduled for FTTC, no mention of exchange only on my postcode.

Could be an error in BTs database?

If you have asked TT are you a TT customer? BT checker doesnt work on unbundled lines and the checker is only accurate when given the telephone number.

If the BT checker says "no" then ordering FTTC will be problematical as the order would presumably get rejected by OR.

Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download
BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload ON THE LINE THAT SKY COULD ONLY PROVIDE 15,255 DOWN AND 800 UP ON!!!,
Moved house, now BE Unlimited 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
FTTC Cab installation commenced 12th April - expect full 80 / 20 - bye bye BE, hello BT Infinity soon!

I used the talk talk online page for checking. That says july for me.

I have Be internet LLU, but my 'phone service is still with BT. Is this unbundled or not?

Be is a shared LLU service, so phone number looks will work fine.

So you MUST use the BT checker located hereBT Checker and put your telephone number in.

The TT checker can only get information for non TT lines from BT anyway.

Quarter end dates are meaningless. They just mean it mght happen during the quarter. Many of them slip, and when they do it is another 3 months.

Talk Talk have removed the availablity date for my line now, it was August 2012 when I last checked despite fibre from BT and Sky being available since last month, but all I can do is register interest.

I wonder if they are scaling back their rollout to areas with high interest.

That's wierd, as they use the same service as BT and Sky. TT aren't rolling out anything for FTTC. It's all BT Wholesale once Openreach connect the cabinets to the exchange.

Have you asked TT? It could be there has been an error in their database updating.

/me is an eejit. As has been pointed out bu greenglide, they both take the GEA handover frown. Brain-fade!

I haven't contacted them but as a former unhappy TT customer, though not out of choice, I wouldn't go back to them.

Talk Talk started an advertising campaign in my area this week but there's no mention of fibre in any of adverts or flyers.

I was under the impression that TT and SKY were both using OpenReach GEA and handing over at the exchange to their MSAN / backhaul rather than using BT Wholesale products as the other ISPs do?
