Wholesale usually more up to date, since Retail takes the wholesale data, suggests BT Retail has not updates its cache yet.

Look ups can cost money (50p per time), so some providers run their own system based on the releases of data, but takes time to update.

wow still no exchange for COLLYHURST in MCR. one of the biggest manchester exchanges and they keep ignoring it, I'm sure it serves over 50,000 properties

According to Samknows Collyhust serves 14,950 residential customers which doesnt make it particularly large at all.

You are not suggesting the the whole of the greater manchester should be rolled out in preference to the rest of the country are you? Somebody has to be at the back of the queue!

Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download
BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload ON THE LINE THAT SKY COULD ONLY PROVIDE 15,255 DOWN AND 800 UP ON!!!,
Moved house, now BE Unlimited 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
FTTC Cab installation commenced 12th April - expect full 80 / 20 - bye bye BE, hello BT Infinity soon!

BT have announced another 98 exchanges whilst at the same time pushing back the dates of those comming soon. Most of the Jun 12 ones have now been pushed back to Sep

The chances of BT meeting its target of FTTC enable exchanges seems to be rapidly disappearing

sept 2012 pushed back to december 2012

lame.

suspected as much as it looks like work hasnt even started.

Thanks for the clarification, that is pretty much what I had guessed, but as I had not seen the exchange in a announcements list ( WWBWAT ) I was a little confused.

thanks for the clarification.

Mine is now showing Sept instead of June , But as of only yesterday plans for the 32 cabs which they are going to deploy was revealed via the council's street works site , as prior to that apart from a few markings( DSLAM) near to some PCP's and a lot of unlocking existing ducting and a small amount of install new poly ducts, there was no indication of FTTC being deployed here , and most of the duct unblocking kept getting pushed back by openreach and there is still some not done even now . organisation doesn't seem a strong point

Wonko

If the Infinity checker says 'accepting orders' and that is what you want, place your order!

If you don't want Infinity you should use the ISPs checker you do want, as some enable exchanges faster than others. They each have to connect their own backhaul or rent it off someone else who has got their own.

It is surprising that BTRetail are saying they can accept orders as they usually get their backhaul via BT Wholesale, but the wholesale checker could be a day or so behind hand. However ISPs do know when the backhaul is meant to be delivered so may be taking orders in advance of go live next week!

Hmmm, my exchange is accepting orders but my cabinet has been delayed till 30th September. That explains why I haven't seen any work on my cab, yet plenty of nearby cabs have been done.
