In reply to a post by gymbal:
(ahem) - I think so:

Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 30th June 2012. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 60.4Mbps and upstream line speed of 20Mbps.

The actual stable line speed supportable will be determined during the first 10 days of use. This speed may change over time, to ensure line stability is maintained.

So you will be getting the service - you just need to wait as I amfrown

Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download
BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload ON THE LINE THAT SKY COULD ONLY PROVIDE 15,255 DOWN AND 800 UP ON!!!,
Moved house, now BE Unlimited 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
FTTC Cab installation commenced 12th April - expect full 80 / 20 - bye bye BE, hello BT Infinity soon!

SW15 2SR
Wandsworth, cabinet 3. Phase 6a, FTTC for all lines on that postcode.

Someone's being awkward there. Phase 6a should have been over long ago.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - Plusnet Value Fibre 80/20 trial.

Thanks for that check! Where is that cabinet out of curiosity? It's odd to me that we are at 26-June and still no news from BT. Oh well patience wins....

Since 6a was a while ago their could have been a planning issue with the cabinet.

Interesting, that point on the map is my building smile.

Today the date for my line was moved out to 30-Sep as feared. I'll see what I can find out locally about that cabinet.

Cheers

I'm Wandsworth as well and have been tracking progress since last year. Date has slipped 9 months since the original announcement and can't see it coming forward from the current end of September. If you look on the London Roadworks Register, there is now BT NGA work across the LSWAN area booked out until 19th Sept frown

Thanks to everyones replies - sadly, like many, my installation date has been put back again (now to the 30th of September) - I'll keep waiting ... it would be good to know what the delay is if nothing else, but I understand how much of a logistical effort it must be to get this upgraded.

The 30th of June and September are placeholding dates only, they are not live dates- openreach works in 3 month cycles if the work is not finished in time it moves to the next holding date.

The actual go live dates for cabinets are not known, once the work has been completed and the cabinet tested it goes live, only way to check is via the bt wholesale checker.
