I didn't know that optical fibres were 'tuned' to a given range of wavelengths.. are they?

I guess if they aren't then those with ISDN2+ installs might be lucky; the existing fibre could be re-purposed!

Fibre optic cables do have transmission windows so it is possible that any existing fibre may not "compatible".

ISDN2 (Basic Rate) and ISDN30 (Primary Rate) are delivered over copper connections.
