No harder than entering the details for ADSL, IIRC all I needed to change was the setting from ppoa to ppoe on my netgear router.

It is. But I was the first non-BT install 'my' engineer had done and he did not think it was possible to go online with just the modem shocked.

Thompson TG789v3 has a built in VDSL2 modem and is only £84

Nice option their aavid60 but unfortunately for me it only appears to offer FAST Ethernet ports with a Gigabit WAN port.
