I am going to buy a router with integrated an VDSL modem and once that arrives I will switch over using the website. I will send Matty a message with the order ref.
You have to be rather careful about buying a VDSL router, despite the many we read about on these forums. Have a browse through the Openreach requirements for ISP-supplied ones in SIN 498. Section 2.4 applies and includes:-
The CP provided modem and filtering devices must meet the requirements of this specification in order to provide reliable operation and to avoid harm to other VDSL2 lines sharing the same cable binder. Openreach reserves the right to withhold or limit service where potential violation of the Access Network Frequency Plan (ANFP) or impact to another customers service is detected.
Then detailed requirements in Section 3 and tests that it must pass for Openreach conformity in Annex A.

I expect everything on the market satisfies most for the moment, because OR are covering possible developments in FTTC. Such as vectoring, where we can see several firms like Billion and Fritz are having to upgrade their kit, or at least the firmware.

What do you have with TalkTalk? An integrated modem/router or an Openreach modem with TT router?

Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 57.1/14.8Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM
