In reply to a post by thesimo:
In the interim I decided to go with plusnet fibre broadband package, my number has been issued (i PMd u), but not sure how to check this as its technically not a BT line. It does say it wont be activated until the 5th of August, so maybe I cant check until then?
Paul has answered your question.

Just to add, it is technically a BT line smile. A "BT line" means Openreach Wholesale Line Rental, (WLR3), as opposed to LLU line rental. Just to confuse the issue, LLU providers can also offer WLR3 if they wish. O2/Be being one example when they existed - all their lines were "BT lines". I think the same applied to Orange LLU.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync 57676/14040kbps @ 600m. - BQM

ah smile I wasn't sure about that or not. Turned out its just because its not activated yet.

I contacted Openreach and got some feedback - that they can do nothing until my line is active.
