Cab 41 Upton by Chester

My Daughter is on a year work experience and is house sharing with 4 others on that course, the broadband at the house is TT ADSL2 of about 2Mb Down and 0.005Mb up on LLU at 5Km from the exchange.

With four trying to use the internet it's tough going that's when it's not dropping out.

The landlord has agreed to put in FTTC , But Cab 41 seems full .

It is saying that there are 34 post code area's on cab 41 .. seems a lot, no wounder it's full.
from BT website.
"We estimate that BT Infinity will become available to you between September 2015 and October 2015"

Looks like when they do get it it will be good.

1..I have been trying to find Cab 41.

2..If the land load wants to move away from TalkTalk is it best to join another on ADSL2 first, then wait a week then apply for FTTC ?.

3. With the new migration rules does the another isp inform TT that they want to change over ? and there is no need for the landlord to contact TT .

4. Yes, that number of postcodes is not uncommon

As for cabinet being full it seems only BT Retail is saying that, the copy/paste you did was from the BT Wholesale checker and that shows no sign of any capacity issues. Of course retailers might cache lookups and not always have the latest information.

It's about 500M so should get about 50/60 Mb down 20Mb up ?.

The landlord has not said if he is in a contract with TT, if he is then he going to have to go with them .
What I can see from my findings he is on a Business package with them.

It's not helping with my searches that it's a non BT phone number as it's a TT one just for the LLU set up.

Might be lucky, am about the same distance from our cab and get 50 down, 8 up. Not sure why my up speed is rather poor. Still it's way better than ADSL2+...

Are you only on a 80/10 product ?.
