Yes, I'd forgotten about there being a few cases where both are available. And it never occurred to me about the infill ones - despite seeing them reported here quite frequently.

Our area i.e. the lines on our PCP Cabinet will only cater for up to 10 lines for FTTP the other 380 odd lines will be given FTTC at a later date when they install a FTTC Cabinet, I was told it was part of their new scheme, there was mention of G.FAST, but I am not too sure now.
The strange thing is there is already the FTTP hardware in place for most of them, so it seems Openreach are willing to waste that to downgrade them to FTTC.
TBH, I think we (as in lines on our phone pole) was only lucky due to our FTTP hardware at our phone pole was live and supplying FTTP to just one home, so when we pointed that out (after many emails etc) we got it.
