For me the move to Fibre (when available) is because there are 4 of us in the house and whilst 5mb adsl is fine for most use - once you want to watch player etc you have to tell the kids to get off youtube etc.

My 2nd ADSL line will help as I can put the kids devices on that.

Having read TalkTalk have stopped charging £50 for set up i have decided to take the plunge and go for faster fibre as i said earlier my son lives on youtube and Mrs Tea lives on her tablet and catch up TV, i do mess about with pictures on the home brew forum and it can be a bit slow so i may see some benefit from the move.

Is 16 days from the day you order to the day you move to fibre normal?

.

Yes quite normal. Different areas are busier than others but just over 2 weeks isn't unusually long.

Thanks John, the annoying thing is my parents are switching this Wednesday and live approximately a miles away i asked the TT rep if there was a chance of getting it done on the same day and he said no, oh well i will just have to wait and hope it all goes smoothly.
