Re: When will 160/30 FTTP be available?

If they do merge products what's more likely? upto 76Mb at current Infinity 2 prices or Infinity 1 prices?
Infinity 1 users will probably have a nice big price hike in the pipeline.
Also, since when was broadband pricing fair? laugh

If their lowest product was 76Mb at Infinity 2 prices then I think they would attract fewer customers - it is far more likely they will keep near Infinity 1 price levels for a "starter" tier unlimited product.

At present it is an odd move by BT and unclear as they are still selling Infinity 1 as up to 55Mb - so for new sign ups nothing has currently changed.

True, but Infinity is still showing as "up to 52Mb". Also, unclear as to whether ALL Infinity 1 users have been upgrade or if it is "select" customers?

And there also those Infinity 2 users, and I am one, who haven't received any "boost" communication, quite possibly in my case because I don't use or require BT's cloud storage.

I don't use or require BT cloud storage either but still got the "boost". It really is unclear as to whether there is some special condition you have to meet to get the boosts, if it is a rollout over time and so you might get it later or if it is just random.

Thanks Ian, I guess its simply a case of wait and see.

My younger daughter in SE23 is on Infinity 1 with an attainable in the high 80s, has heard nothing and is still on 55/10. My elder daughter, also in SE23, on Infinity 2, with an attainable c75 has also heard nothing.

At present it seems somewhat random as to whether a customer has heard anything other than, of course, their regular monthly invoice.

Im LA13 south Cumbria. My speed boost happened a tad over 3 weeks ago and Ive just had an email today from BT saying it is ready to use!

Not every Infinity 1 customer has 80 meg. My parents still capped at 55mbps.
