I've been in contact with OR about the cabinet in my street and the issue was raised up to their "Infrastructure Solutions Customer Service" and twice they have said the build is complete and I can order now, despite the wholesale checker saying different and I have tried MANY postcodes in my street to make sure its not just me!

The grammar in the e-mails is shocking and the absolute quickness of wanting to close the case.

They don't quite seem to know whats going on themselves.

When you place the order with the service provider , they will arrange for the cable link to the G fast cabinet to be completed, this will then reflect on the availability checker. All the internal systems which the Service provide has access to shows the GFAST is available.

Perhaps OpenReach have completed their work. Certainly sounds like they've done their bit.
It's now up to their customer, BT Wholesale, to do what they need to do at the exchange to make it available to SP's.

As they are completely separate companies OpenReach won't be in a position to tell you what BT Wholesale are doing any more than they can tell you what TalkTalk business are doing.

Wholesale might not have connected to the Handover node serving that pod yet, or your estimate may fall below the speed threshold (in which case Wholesale filters it out)

yeah thats what it is, to push up marketing speeds.

35b + vectoring would help existing users more, but it has less of a business case in terms of marketing potential.

I think that means that you may not be able to receive it due to distance (e.g. OR may need to do a survey).
