New FTTC - Comments on initial stats ?

[link to this post]

Had Zen Unlimited Fibre 2 FTTC (max 80/20) activated a few hours ago. Can I get some comments on initial line stats? I know various changes take place during the first few days to determine max stable etc. The line does seem very stable at the moment and error rates low if the screens from the router are being truthful. Router is connected direct to test socket via a dangly filter at the moment (line has not had any form of DSL on it for over 10 years, I'll be getting a VDSL faceplate for my NTE5 in due course). Line has been synced for just over an hour. Thanks for any insight.

About right ... attenuation looks a little high for line length, however that could be due to cable guage.

For 15dB, max attainable at 68, sync at 67 - at the bottom end, but nothing to be concerned with and should improve when SNR drops to 6dB. Updtyream is excellent

Thanks. GUI stats for SNR downstream sometimes report 6, sometimes 7, actually with the page open in the browser it can flick from 6 to 7 and back on the fly, so I'm assuming 6dB but the GUI is fluctuating. Will DLM automatically try lower SNR over the next few days or do they stick at 6?

Thanks again.

It may, depending on line qualuitly and what DLM sees, drop te SNR to 5, then 4 then 3 dB or it may stay a 6 or any of the settings.
