TalkTalk LLU/FTTC

[link to this post]

Looking into options with TalkTalk Business FTTC for an office migrating from BT Business FTTC
Is talk talk's network resilient in terms of back-haul routes? meaning are there multiple routes from an exchange to ensure uptime of the connection?
yes i know there is one route from the cabinet to the exchange but its usually at the exchanges they do work,
as the line would be FTTC for business broadband and BT in the area have been known to go down due to work in a main/head end exchange causing an outage when say talk talks might not have gone down to different available routes?
Uptime/reliability is going to be main factor in this question and yes i know you get agreements with leased lines but this is not going to be cost effective so having to stick with business fttc
anyone any thoughts?

They both go to the same Openreach GEA headend kit at the same exchange, so if there is work on that the risk is identical.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

Obviously it depends on where you live, but when I was with TalkTalk Business FTTC a few years back, there was a major TT trunk (backhaul) cable break in Scotland and whilst TT were repairing this, they re-routed my connection which added a few ms in latency. So yeah, it does appear TT have some sort of redundancy in the backhaul network topology, at least here in Scotland (I'm in the Highlands).

Btw if you will suffer significant financial loss in the event of total loss of service, then IMHO well worth paying extra for a leased line as they can come with a SLA as low as 6 hrs. No chance of that on a standard residential/SME grade FTTC connection.
