Short cut would be do a factory reset on the SH2 and run with the Asus for an hour and try again.

It took an hour or so to reset upload speed for me, as described in the other thread, but I do wonder if it was one particular hub of the few I tried that forced the reset. I do know that just using PPPoE on my PC as a direct connection didnt reset the upload speed.

Its also strange that its only the upload speed that gets stuck, not the download speed. I would imagine there are possibly thousands of FTTP users out there unaware that their upload speed has been restricted in this way. After all, most people focus on their download speed,

Believe upload traffic is rate limited by the broadband hardware, so this setting is getting stuck and not refreshing.

Running with different hardware for a while i.e. different MAC possibly triggers resending the details
Andrew, I wonder with your contacts in BT/Openreach whether you could establish the likely cause. After all, therell probably be others in the future with the same problem, and it would be good to establish what the fix might be.

Did you find a fix for this?

I upgraded to BT FTTP 500 this week.I have the Smart Hub 2 running and have found my download is perfect at 500Mb but upload stuck at 10Mb. I factory reset the hub and was consistently getting 70Mb upload for a day or so but it's now dropped back to 10Mb again.

Any ideas about what I can do? 10Mb is unfortunately the upload guarantee so not sure how helpful BT will be

your guaranteed 10meg upload - you get 10 meg upload (ie you got what you paid for)

i assume you could purchased a higher upload package but you chose not to

now you have a decision to make - either keep waht you paid for or pay more for more upload

Huh?

73Mb is the expected upload for BT FTTP 500 package.
Something is reducing that to 10Mb.
10Mb is the minimum upload speed guarantee by BT. Way short of the 73Mb I should be able to get on my package and have seen possible on my connection but something keeps dropping it back down.

Ok so just swapping routers back and forth seemed to fix it? i presume it's still ok?
I don't have another router to test with but I'll another factory on the SH2.
