Can you recommend a modem/router at not a high price?
Just remember Sky FTTC needs (unless things have changed) a router that allows you to enter your Sky Broadband Username and Password in DHCP Option 61

It's still the same but TP-Link routers allow you too Choose Sky-MER as your provider and you can then enter Option 61 details, no need to extract password anymore, anything will do as long as in correct format.

Thanks for confirming, does make a joke of Sky still using Option 61 when they don't even bother authenticating the details.

No maybe not but thats all i have at present. Can you recommend a modem/router at not a high price?
I was looking at a Tp link one like this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TP-Link-Archer-VR400-AC12...

Remember that the TP-Link interface is a bit restricted and if you want to run a monitoring program like DSLStats you need to use customised firmware. There is a topic on the Kitz forum about that (including Janet and John steps about how to make the changes).

Will check it out thanks. Any other modem/routers around the TP link level i could consider as long as it has the option 61 setting?

Yes.

Swaped the SR102 for a ER115 and it syncs at the same down/up speed as before but doing a speedtest on various sites its slower than the SR102, its now around 30/35mbs down and 18mbs up. I will have to swap back to the SR102 to see if its the router or something else it may be?

Disconnect the DSL for about 5 mins and reconnect to force a new IP and that will restore your throughput. it's some kind of wired issue with sky..
