Contractors just fitted this

[link to this post]

As the title, contractors working outside my house as I type this right now.

Had the fibre coils of cable for a long time (years) hanging from the poles to our premises and now this happening.

I presume (guess) its where the fibre is spliced in readiness for the next step.

Anyone know exactly what it is and what stage we are at please.

Here is a picture.

Fibre joint housing its not a PON splitter but may have one cable incoming and multiple cables leaving

As for stage there is no 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 steps, the various steps can happen in any order.

Bit of an update, been out having a chat with the guy's and can confirm all splicing and CBT's etc have been fitted, with just another day to finish they pass it over to Openreach to commission and hopefully not much longer to wait. smile

Means a lot dect thank you.

I wouldn't care if I had better than 1Mb down and next to nothing up but getting FTTP delivered means a hell of a lot to me and the people in my village.

Thank you anyway. smile

I call it a village but probably more a Hamlett

Only about 30 buildings in it.
