The picture of the pole belongs to Mr Saffron, I just used it because my pole has a similar device fastened at the top mate.

Sorry I'm not clued up with names of hardware and there terminology. frown

Chap told me he fitted a 12 port CBT as you call them, There are 4 houses all wanting fibre from this same pole pictured.

Well if the splice trays pictured are from the track node you first showed, then there are 8 lit ports on the CBT (connectorised block terminal) so twice whats needed, for now.
The other trays are feeding on to further track nodes.

Gotcha. Must have been 8 port then, I was busy feeding tea and biscuits and keeping in the good books. smile

Nope, quite usual not to splice through all the ports on a larger CBT.

At a TJ all ports would be spliced through (well should be), only at the splitter might 8 be spliced out of a potential of 12. Otherwise to light another port not only would you need to splice in splitter but also in every TJ.

Do you know how long it takes to commission the FTTP?
Ive had openreach lay fiber in my street the begining of January, they have been back a few times, and i noticed near the FTTC cab they have had about 30m of ducting installed.
I've seen them in the manholes splicing fiber. just waiting on it showing as able to order online, but checker still states there are no plans to upgrade crazy
just wondering if there is a long wait before they hand it over to BT etc.
