It's interesting that OR have decided to fill out the whole area, presumably at their expense. 6 linked FTTPoD orders is quite large, so maybe it's being treated more like a CFP, with the remaining properties being OR's contribution.


The OR surveyor said he’d never done a linked FTTPOD before and was surprised it wasn’t CFP. It would be interesting to know whether if I had gone ahead with a single premises order they would still have built out in the same way, but I didn’t think to ask.

Chances are you'd only get a single CBT.

I live in a cul-de-sac with 25 properties - 1960's but all ducted. They put the splitter in the footbox nearest the entrance to the street, and then ran to a single CBT in the footbox outside my property (shared by two neighbours) at the other end.

This was completed about a year ago, and the policy might have changed.
