Junction box

Hi all,

I’ve recently just moved into a new business premises and my fastest internet speed is 4.5mps
My neighbour has got fibre broadband which he says I can rent from him for half the price he’s paying which is £250pm he’s paying £500pm so obviously I’ve declined the offer. I have noticed and the engineer has confirmed it’s a fibre wire comes from underground through my property and then drilled through the party wall into the neighbours property.
So my question is can I get a junction box to tap into the fibre line, I am only using the Internet for my IP cameras so I would only need if plugging straight into my NVR

No, this would be theft. You have to contact either an ISP, or the building administration (if it's a managed building) and order your own connection.

Ok I dint ask if it was legal or not I asked can it be done.

No because you would break the fibre, of course that can be repaired and a splitter added.

if a business leased line then they'd only expect one device terminating line so adding your second would break things and then lead to investigation revealing you breaking onto the fibre.

Not only theft but cannot be done and virtually impossible if a fibre optic or VDSLline.

£500pcm is leased line fibre money. Not fibre broadband. Ask to see an invoice, before any further ahem...commercial negotiations take place.

As others have said, a) even if you could, what you suggested is theft and b) fibre doesn't work like that, "you can't just tap into fibre".
