You have said you have an EO line but you haven't said if there are any cabinets anywhere near you or what exchange you're on and how far you are from that exchange.

I know some locations where you could order 50 lines and none of them would be via a cabinet as there ain't any cabinets nearby, sadly there is no certain answer to this question as every location is different.

Edit: When I say 'cabinets nearby' I actually mean that could be used to provide service.

Thanks for the information. Its a family member in North London. The exchange is Canonbury which is 950m away. The problem is that they are in a development of approx 20 houses (all on EO) surrounded by FTTC on all sides. The nearest cabinet is about 200m away.

Looked at CFP but expensive and no grants or vouchers.

By odd coincidence, my London place is on Canonbury Park North and is EO. The nearest FTTC cabinet is outside the Canonbury Tavern, only 350m away but yeah not served by it.

The only options are woefully slow ADSL, Virgin or...dare I say it leased line. So that's what I'm getting on with.

Been there, in my case Vauxhall and a development of 75 properties on an EO bundle of at least 100 lines. VM pass the property but not interested and surrounded by properties on one or other of two nearby FTTC cabs, both within 200m. We investigated both Hyperoptic (problem much of the development are houses) and BT. Both came up with solutions in late 2014 and in early 2015 we signed what would now be a Community Partnership for BT to provide an AIO FTTC cab to serve the development. September 2016 we finally joined the VDSL world. No vouchers then, cost c£18,750, £250 per property.

There's a fair amount of G.Network build happening around Islington, might be worth making enquiries with them.

They were chomping through various streets in Barnsbury (on the opposite side of Upper St to Canonbury) during Lockdown Mk I, much to the annoyance of the local populace who were moaning like crazy on social media about it!

There has been no sign or any plans of expansion of G.N in this part of the borough. Ditto Hyperoptic who are apparently only interested in the really high density multi-storey stuff.
